Jun 29, 2020

Regional Training on Land Conflict Monitoring Portal Asian NGO Coalition

These proceedings detail the presentations and discussions during the two-day Land Conflict Monitoring Training organized by ANGOC and KPA, conducted last 5-6 March in Jakarta, Indonesia. The training is part of the ILC and UNDP-BHR supported initiative on “Defending Land Rights and Human Rights Defenders in Asia.” During the training, participants were familiarized with concepts, frameworks, methodologies, and tools related to land conflict monitoring. The database, accompanying categories and definitions within it, were also finalized during the training. Partners will be monitoring land and resource conflict cases using a uniform method and tool this 2020, with hopes of continuing and further systematizing land rights monitoring in their respective countries and in the region.
