This publication contains the highlights of the conference on “Mainstreaming
land rights in the narrative of climate change: views from the ground”, held on
10-11 October 2023 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference brought together CSOs
from Asia and Africa to share their experiences and perspectives on land tenure as an essential dimension in understanding and mitigating the impact of climate change.

The event was jointly organized by the Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and
Rural Development (ANGOC) and the Association for Land Reform and Development
(ALRD) in partnership with the Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation
(GFAR/GFAiR), Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), and Land Portal Foundation.
The European Union (EU), the United Nations Human Settlement Programme
(UN Habitat), and the Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt/BftW) provided financial
contribution for this endeavor.
