Following the reports prepared in 2018, civil society organizations from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal and the Philippines once again prepared land conflicts monitoring reports in 2020 to understand the nature, drivers, and impacts of land conflicts, as well as document attacks against communities and land rights defenders. Grounding on the findings, recommendations are presented to address the immediate and root causes of land and resource conflicts. The six country reports and regional summary also reflect the initial attempt of civil society organizations to implement common methods in monitoring and a unified framework for analyzing land conflicts.
