October 16 is World Food Day!
ANGOC celebrates this year’s World Food Day with the theme, “Small producers lead the way to a better production, nutrition, environment, and a better life for all.”
While there are global initiatives in building a better world, the poor and vulnerable are often left behind in reaping the benefits of human development, innovation, or economic growth.
Impeded by global challenges – including the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, international conflicts, and their impacts to national economies – the small and rural producers are in a worse situation and impairs them from bringing sufficient and nutritious food to the population.
Supporting the small producers, more especially amidst the global crisis, is key to ensuring a better production, nutrition, environment, and a better life for all.
