The Bangkok Declaration on Land Rights as Human Rights

The Bangkok Declaration on Land Rights as Human Rights was adopted by participants of a regional workshop entitled “Engaging National Human Rights Institutions toward the Promotion of Land Rights as Human Rights,” held in Bangkok, Thailand on 15-16 November 2018. This declaration describes the major restrictions to land rights and human rights, provides calls to action for states and regional bodies, and affirms the commitment of Civil Society Organizations and National Human Rights Institutions to work together towards the recognition of land rights as human rights.

Founded in 1979, ANGOC is a regional association of national and regional networks of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Asia, actively engaged in food security, agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture, participatory governance, and rural development.
