2016 Asia Land Forum and ILC Asia Regional Assembly

Dec 4, 2017

This video contains highlights of the 2016 Asia Land Forum (ALF) and the ILC Asia Regional Assembly organized by ANGOC in partnership with ILC-Asia and the Philippine Development Forum Working Group on Sustainable Rural Development (PDF-SRD) last 5-8 September 2016 in the Philippines.

The ALF discussed two themes: a) the morning session featured the work on land rights of ILC members in the Philippines and engaged the Philippine government in policy discourse while b) the afternoon session provided space for ILC members in the region to share experiences and approaches in addressing land conflicts and land grabbing towards achieving food security.

On the other hand, the ILC Asia Regional Assembly contributed in enhancing the capacities of members in land rights advocacy through sharing of experiences; enabled members to review the three-year work plan of ILC Asia; and, increased solidarity among ILC Asia members and partners.
