From 2022 to 2024, ANGOC strengthened regional advocacy to advance land rights and human rights across Asia. Guided by its 2021 to 2025 strategic pillars, ANGOC worked as a resource center to promote the land and resource rights of the rural poor, support smallholder agriculture for sustainable food systems and livelihoods, and collaborate with civil society partners to protect civic and democratic spaces. Through research, policy engagement, land conflict monitoring, and partnerships with communities and institutions, ANGOC contributed to improving land governance, strengthening tenure security for farmers, indigenous peoples, and fisherfolk, and highlighting human rights violations linked to land and resource conflicts — reinforcing the recognition of land rights as fundamental human rights. The continuing call is for a collective commitment to support our land’s stewards for a sustainable future.
