ANGOC celebrates 2023 World Food Day with its theme, “Water Nourishes Land, Ensured Food, Sustains Livelihood: Leave No One Behind, The Least Should Come First.”

This year,  the ANGOC network underscores the need to sustainably manage our water resources to continuously produce food amidst the declining freshwater resources.

We also emphasize that leaving no one behind and prioritizing the least advantaged communities speak to the core principle of sustainability. Focusing our efforts on the vulnerable communities’ access to clean water, both for consumption and agriculture, safeguards the health of peoples and our land, and ensures the security of our food sources.

Founded in 1979, ANGOC is a regional association of national and regional networks of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Asia, actively engaged in food security, agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture, participatory governance, and rural development.
